As stated in the City Code Section on September 1, 2014, effective January 1, 2015, all fire/security systems are to be registered with the City. A one-time fee of $25 will be charged for each new alarm installed after January 1, 2015.
City Code September 1, 2014, requires all alarm system companies to register and pay an alarm system license fee to the City prior to the installation and/or maintenance of an alarm system in the City. In addition, a current city business license, City Code Sections 3-1-3 (PDF), must be on file with the City Clerk prior to an alarm license approval by the City Fire Marshal.
