Central Avenue Reconstruction

Phase 1 Improvements

East 3rd Street to E 5th Street.

Project Completion

This project was completed in June of 2018.

Phase 2 Improvements

East 5th Street to Spokane Avenue.

The City is planning to complete the final phase Central Avenue this fall. The project includes curb, gutter, and sidewalk along E 6th Street between Central Avenue and Spokane Avenue as well as new asphalt surfacing from E 5th Street to Spokane Avenue.

After considerable input, and numerous public meetings, it was decided that this section of Central Avenue will continue to operate as a two-way road. Road Closures can be expected this fall in order to construct the project.
