The National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) says that they are "an unprecedented public safety resource" by providing a one-stop-shop for searching sex offenders nationwide. NSOPW partners with the U.S. Department of Justice and all state, territorial, and tribal governments to provide access to all sex offender registries one search site. The search parameters on this website will vary based on what each jurisdiction provides but can include searches by offender:
The Montana Department of Justice houses Montana’s Sexual of Violent Offender Registry (SVOR). The Sexual or Violent Offender Registration Act "is designed to protect the public from sexual and violent offenders by requiring offenders to register with local law enforcement agencies in the jurisdiction where they reside. Information about these offenders is then made available to the public." This site allows searches by offender:
