The WAVE
The City of Whitefish, local citizens, and philanthropists collaborated on a great public-private partnership to plan, finance, and build a state of art recreation and fitness center called The WAVE. The City provided the land and some other small costs while local citizens spearheaded extensive fundraising and grant writing to build the building at 1250 Baker Avenue. The WAVE is now a $9,000,000 facility with:
- Aerobic Rooms
- Daycare/Youth Center
- Exercise Areas
- Squash/Racquetball Courts
- Three Pools
- Weight Rooms and Many Other Amenities
